This tutorial will help you set up Windows Mail to work with your e-mail account. This tutorial focuses on setting up Windows Mail. If you need help setting up your email in with a different system, please check our support tab for those tutorials.
Open Windows Mail, from the Tools menu select Accounts.
Click on the Add button.
Select E-mail Account and click Next.
Type in your name as you wish it to appear on outgoing messages and then click Next.
Type your email address and then click Next
Enter Server Information as follows:
Incoming e-mail server type: Click on the drop down arrow and choose IMAP
Incoming Mail Server: mail.alpinewebsites.com
Outgoing Server: mail.alpinewebsites.com
Check the box: Outgoing server requires authentication
Enter Logon Information as follows:
E-mail username: your email address
Password: your password
Click Next and Finish.
You should be in the Internet Accounts option now. Click on your account and then click the Properties button.
Click on the Advanced Tab Change Outgoing mail (SMTP) to 587 & Incoming mail (SMTP) 143.
Click Servers, then make sure the checkbox next to My server requires authentication is checked
Click OK, then Close
